It will forever be remembered.
We will remember where we were.
We will remember what we were doing.
We will remember how we felt.
We will remember.
I hope we will also remember how we pulled together, as a people, as a nation.
We did things that needed to be done.
We cried with each other, we comforted each other.
I hope we will continue to remember by never forgetting to take time to see the disasters that occur around us everyday. That we will stop our busy lives for a moment and cry with one another, comfort each other.
Somewhere today we all have a “neighbor” who has had disaster strike their life today. Can we pull together and do what needs to be done?
You were indeed called to be free, brothers and sisters. Don’t turn this freedom into an excuse for your corrupt nature to express itself. Rather, serve each other through love. All of Moses ‘Teachings are summarized in a single statement, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”
